The Bishop home was built in 1907 by Fred DANIELS. Bob BISHOP married Lizzie HOPKINS in August of 1888. Theirs was the second marriage recorded in Armstrong County. Lizzie died when their daughter Josie was three months old, and she was reared by her Grandmother BISHOP. Josie was named for Joe HORN, a cowboy on the JA Ranch. In 1895 Bob married Lola MYERS. They had a daughter, Emma, born in 1897 in a dugout northeast of the old JA Tank. The three women in the picture are Velma FRENCH, Mrs. Lola (MYERS) BISHOP, and Leona TUCKER. The children are Emma BISHOP, Bertha LOVE, and Audria FRENCH.
